Paul started at the 10th hole today on the original Alistair McKenzie designed but Jack Nicklaus redesigned golf course and rode the roller coaster through the front nine with an eagle, a birdie, three bogies and a double bogey before the turn. The round settled down over the closing nine holes although a bogey at his 17th hole had him on the cusp playing the last. Although he found the fairway bunker from the tee, Paul was able to find the green and made par. With only eight shots between the leader, Peter Tomasulo and the cut mark, two good rounds could see Paul make a lot of ground over the weekend.
