Paul made an encouraging start to the Christmas in October event In Kansas City when, despite an early double bogey, he recorded a first round of 1 under 70 and halfway through his second round his chances of making the weekend looked safe enough.

Then came a disastrous last nine holes and after signing for a round of 77 he has missed the cut by some way.

Paul now heads back east to the North East Pennsylvania Classic in Moscow Pennsylvania looking to regain the form that saw him play so well last week at the Price Cutters event.
