Just as he had in round one of the Buick Invitational, Paul has put together a strong finish in round two to just make the cut at three under par 141.

Paul's big finish yesterday, when playing the more demanding South Course, was particularly impressive given that he birdied three of his last five holes and today, on the North Course, he birdied his last two holes to ensure he would be around for the weekend.

The tournament reverts to the South Course alone for the final two rounds. Paul will play with Justin Rose and Craig Barlow in round three when he will play from the 10th tee at 9.10am local California time.
