After what had been such a prominsing start for Paul at the Cox Classic in Omaha, Nebraska, he has missed the cut by two shots. Out in 31 in his opening nine on Thursday things were very much on track for a good week and even allowing for his homeward nine of 36 his opening round of 67 had him well placed.

With a low cut likely however Paul would still need to maintain the momentum and an early bogey on day two was not the start he was looking for. In the end he posted a round of one over 72 and would miss the cut.

Paul  is entered to play next week's Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.
