Paul is in Bridgeport in West Virginia this week for the Nationwide Tour Players Cup, an event that was originally to carry a purse of US$ 1 million but a sponsor withdrawal has seen prizemoney reduced to US$600,000. Paul feel his game is slowly coming around. "I wish someone had told me how long it would take to come out of a slump," he said jokingly referring to the amount of time he has spent struggling of late. "I am really pleased with my driving and my putting has definitely made improvement. I have been working on a techhnique which allows me not to focus on the putter head going back and through which I had been doing and I have to say the putting has improved significantly." Paul has played at this venue of on several occasions without much success but is looking forward to a continuation of the better form he has displayed of late. Paul has a late tee time on day one where he will play in a group which includes fellow Australian Mark Hensby. |
