Paul has a great interest in horse racing and when Gus Seebeck from Channel Ten asked Paul is he would do a colour item on that interest to be included in the coverage of this week's event he was quick to say yes. "The property was magnificent and it was a very interesting hour or so," said Paul after arriving back at the house he and friend and fellow Nationwide Tour player,Trip Isenhour, have rented on the Mornington Peninsula. Paul has interests in one or two horses currently racing. Instill, who he races in partnership with friends, won recently and another, Your Dreaming, in which he is involved through his association through the Dream Run Syndications won at Randwick two weeks ago. Back at the golf course at Moonah Links and Paul was his normal upbeat self as to his game. "I played alright in round one last week (in Christchurch) in fact I got to three under early but I did not finish of that first round well and I wasn't happy with the way I played on Sunday but feel very much that I have turned the corner. I have been up to the Gold Coast on a regular basis over the past six weeks to see my coach Don (Fardon) and I am happy overall with the direction things are heading."
