Paul has finished in 41st position at the New Zealand PGA Championship at Clearwater Resort in Christchurch, a final round of two under par 70 including a homeward nine of 33 on the increasingly demanding back nine enough to provide a boost leading into next weekend's New Zealand Open Championship.

Paul's putting was an improvement today and his game generally provided enough signs of encouragment for him to head south to Queenstown with the prospect of a good week.
