Paul made the decision to take his chance on a place in the field for the tournament after missing the cut last week in Hawaii and at one stage planning on travelling back to Australia for the week. Withdrawals have now meant he will have a start in the event for just the second time, having first played the tournament in 2002.
Paul missed the cut last week by just one shot.
Paul has an 10.18 tee time at the PGA West course when he will play with three pro am partners.
The tournament is played over five rounds on four different courses over the first four days. The event then returns to the host course The Classic Club for the final round on Sunday after a cut has been made.
