After a roller coaster run through the first nine holes of his second round today, Paul's second nine was more stable but it was not enough to get him into the weekend at the Travelers Championship. His round of 72 saw him miss the cut by five shots.

Paul reached two under for the day when he picked up his third birdie in four holes in the middle of his front nine but then dropped four shots in the last three holes before the turn and as he headed for the 10th tee he was at five over for the tournament and needed something special over the closing nine to be around for the weekend. He had double bogeyed his 9th hole, the 18th of the TPC River Highlands layout, after missing the green short and right with his approach and was long with his third.

Paul was unable to pick up the shots he needed the threaten the cut mark and will now focus his attention on next week's Buick Open near Flint in Michigan.
