Paul's play improved considerably on day two of the Honda Classic but it was unfortunately never going to be enough to right the damage caused by his opening 78 at the demanding Champion Course at the PGA National facility at Palm Beach Garden in Florida.

His round of 73 on Friday saw him miss just his second cut in six starts this season and he must now wait to see whether he has a start at next weeks PODS Championship in Tampa. Currently he is an alternate with only a chance of a place in the field. 

Two double bogeys today at his 7th and 14th holes put paid to any chance of a miraculous comeback but at least there were a lot more positives today as Paul looked to rebound from his horror day one.
