Paul has crept inside the cutline at the Moonah Classic on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, his second round of 69 allowing him to finish at even par and be around for the weekend.

After such a poor start on Thursday with an opening round of 75, Paul was up against it playing in the afternoon on day two but he was out in two under 34 and kept it going over his back nine to make the cut.

It was a much improved effort from Paul all round and he will be out early on day three in his quest to make progress on those ahead.
