"I have played Forest Oaks on four previous occassions with mixed results really. I withdrew two years ago when I was struggling with my game and then in 2003 actually led into the weekend before a poor final 36 holes. The greens this year are slower than they have been previously at this stage of the week but hopefully they will be at their peak later in the week." Paul needs a good finish this week if he is to have any chance of making the first of the Fed Ex Cup finals next week in Westchester. "I probably need to finish top five or better," said Paul. Fifth place would earn Paul 1000 points. At present the 144th player (the final number of those graduating to next week's event) has 1,669 points and Paul currently has 954. |

Paul is in Greensboro in North Carolina for this week's Wyndham Championship having spent last week back at his home in Florida focusing on improvements to his short game. "I worked almost exclusively on my short game last week at Grand Cypress, where I practice when home, as it is that part of game that is in need of attention. Coming away from the week things feel pretty good all round so hopefully I will get things back on track after a disappointing week at Reno."
