The Pro Am format event is played over two courses near Clarksburg in southern Ontario, the Georgian Bay Club (Host course) and the Raven Golf Club at Lora Bay, and replaces the previous Canadian stop for the Nationwide Tour, the Canadian PGA Championship.
It is this first time this particular event has been staged and has been due to the support of Canada's ice hockey legend, Wayne Gretsky that the event is being played. The tournament carries the richest purse of the season to date on the Nationwide Tour (US$800,000) with the winner to receive a US$144,000 first prize and so this is a good time for Paul's game and season to come right. Paul will play at the Raven Bay course on day one at 7.00am as he looks to get what has been a disappointing run of form back on track.

Paul is in Canada this week for the Ford Wayne Gretsky Classic presented by Samsung endeavouring to right a ship that has been decidedly unsteady in season 2008.
