Paul finished with a last round 73 to finish 8th and, as a result, has a good ranking in terms of early season starts in 2007. Paul first joined the PGA Tour in 2001 via the Nationwide Tour. In his rookie season he earned enough to finish in 83rd position on the money list but the following year he finished 134th and was forced to play on limted status in 2003. Paul was back on the Nationwide Tour in 2004 and after finishing 11th on their money list in a season where he was three times runner up, he was again back on the PGA Tour in 2005. Once again he struggled and was back on the Nationwide Tour this season where he finished 26th, narrowly missing a place in the top 22 who were granted 2007 PGA Tour cards. Never one to give up hope, Paul returned to the Tour School and was in the mix from the start. Paul is currently winging his way back to Hyatt Regenecy Coolum on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland for this week's Australian PGA Championship.
