Understandably the round along with his opening round of 77 gave him no chance of surviving the cut and Paul now heads back to Sydney before assessing when he is likely to gain his next start on the Nationwide Tour. He expects to be in Sydney for a week before heading to the US.

Paul's form worries continued at this week's Michael Hill New Zealand Open when he struggled through his second round finishing with a round of 80. A couple of late birdies helped ease the pain a little but six dropped shots in six holes through the middle of his round told the story.
