Paul made a good start to day two of the MFS Australian Open and after a great birdie at the downhill par three 14th and a two putt birdie from 30 feet at the 16th he was at two under for the day and two over for the tournament. He was still on that score when he reached his 11th hole of the day but three dropped shots in the next five holes had seen him slip to five over. He arrested the slide with a good birde at the par five 7th and finished with two pars for his second round of 72. Paul is in 24th position but only five shots out of fifth place. Paul has a 10.58 tee time on day three when he will play with John Senden.
