After an early birdie at the 3rd, Paul struggled to build momentum and a double bogey at the 13th threatened his chances of weekend work. He bounced back with an eagle at the 17th before three putting the last for a bogey and a round of 72 to be on the cut line.
Paul played well from tee to green but was seldom able to take advantage of the many chances he created for himself. His putting was not sharp but his general play is encouraging.
Having played early in the day on day two, Paul was forced to wait for much of the day to see whether his 36 hole score of 1 under would stack up and thankfully it would. |
