Paul has missed three of his five cuts to date in 2009 and has a best of 41st but there were signs in his second round last week that his tee to green game was doing well enough for an improvement in putting to see a significant improvement in his results. That is of course easier said than done but it is an area of his game on which he knows he needs to work if there is to be any genuine progress. This week offers a new venue for all, The David Maclay Kidd designed TPC San Francisco Bay built only two years ago and hosting this event for the first time.
Paul has an 8.20 tee time on day one.

Paul is in Hayward in California for this week's Stonebrae Classic at the TPC San Francisco Bay looking for a fix for his form woes. While in California he has had a chance to have his coach Alex Murray look at his game and hopefully this might help as he seeks to turn around a season which has involved a horror start.
